Amazon is installing solar panels on 15 fulfillment/distribution centers in 2019, enough to generate 40+ megawatts of power, and plans to expand to 50 of such sites by 2020. Greg Michaelson of Amazon comments: "When Amazon saves money with rooftop solar, we work to deliver those savings to the consumer." Amazon recently completed a 3.8 MW rooftop solar system on its fulfillment center in Tracy, California, helping it progress its sustainability goals."
